My research

Having worked as a scientific illustrator for over 20 years, I find myself wanting more from the work I do. I do not view visualizations as a mere "nice-to-have," but as something that helps gain insight, facilitates education, and is second to none as a means of communicating knowledge.

That is the reason I have started a PhD. On this website, I aim to present my entire research in an accessible way. Please note: I am only at the beginning; I will make mistakes, reconsider things, and occasionally kick myself when things turn out differently than I expected.

This website is not intended, but one never knows, to be the actual thesis. It exists for my quest: the doubts, the eurekas, and more. Above all, it is meant to involve others in everything I hope to achieve in this field.
